Love Is A Verb
There are myriad of definitions for one of this world’s most important words “LOVE”. Love does take on different meanings depending on the context. In my short time on earth, there is one definition of love that has always rang true. So, what is love? Love is:
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud, it does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
But rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts
Always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
The greatest act of love transpired over 2,000 years ago when a special man exchanged His life, majesty and splendor for the filth and salvation of all mankind. No one has been able to replicate that act of love. So today, as we reflect and celebrate the many definitions of love, I hope that you will take time to ponder over the greatest love of all and that you will strive to live a life that emulates true selfless love.
